Guest Young Authors & Illustrators
Because of the enormous popularity of our 6-9 year old Guest Young Illustrator Contest, the editors of Franklin Mason Press is extending the writing aspect of the contest to children ages 9-12 years old. The first, second, and third place winners will have their work published in one of our upcoming chapter books. In addition, winners receive $ 50.00, $40.00, and $30.00, a book, an award, and we work with their school or a local library/book store to throw a party where they get to autograph books.
9-12 year old Guest Young Author Contest Rules
Guest Young Authors: Send us a 150-350 word story about something strange, funny, or unusual and may be fiction or non-fiction.

1. All stories must be typed or written very neatly.

2. Stories containing any violence or inappropriate content
will not be considered.

3. Name, age, address, phone number, school, and parent's
signature must be on the back of all submissions.

4. All work must be original and completed solely by the
child.

5. Franklin Mason Press reserves the right print submitted
material. All work becomes property of FMP and will not be returned.
Any work selected is considered a work-for-hire and FMP reserves all
rights.

6. There is no deadline for submissions. All submissions are
considered for the most current title.
